Winter holidays in the heart of the Dolomites

South Tyrol’s diverse landscape is an inviting place to enjoy the best activities for your winter holiday. Whether it is on the ski slopes, the cross-country trails, sledding slopes or on a winter walk: the best way to discover the Alpine winter landscape is by getting out and enjoying it.

People who enjoy active holidays and winter sports adore winter in our surroundings in the middle of the Dolomites. Breath-taking views over the mountaintops, sunny winter days and a variety of activities are just some of the highlights for outdoor fans’ winter holidays.

Skiing and cross-country skiing

Thanks to its high altitude, the ski resort Alpe di Siusi</has one of the most iron-clad guarantees for snow in the Dolomites, and winter sport fans can enjoy the soft slopes and the perfectly groomed cross-country trails from December to April. The Alpe di Siusi is also well known among cross-country skiers and snowboarders. A ski bus takes our guests directly from the holiday apartment to the valley station of the ski resort in only 15 minutes.

In addition, with just a 30-minute drive away, the Latemar and Catinaccio/Rosengarten mountains offer our guests a second large ski resort Carezza. Located in the UNESCO world natural heritage of the Dolomites, the ski resort Carezza is one of the sunniest ski areas of the region. It offers perfect slopes from December until April.

Snowshoeing and winter walking

If you are looking for a calm excursion away from the hectic ski resorts, the area around our farm will perfectly suit your taste. Undisturbed nature, incredible views and a relaxing quiet, winter lovers will find everything they could wish for on a snowshoe walk or winter hike. Sledding, ice-skating or curling are just a few alternatives for those who wish to enjoy the landscapes in an alternative way.

Christmas markets

During the holiday season in winter, the famous Christmas markets transform our villages into real fairy-tales. The smell of freshly baked cookies, market stalls with traditional, hand-crafted South Tyrolean products and the delicious mulled wine make the markets unforgettable. A visit of one of the original South Tyrolean Christmas markets in Bolzano/Bozen, Merano/Meran, or Bressanone/Brixen is a must during your stay with us during the holiday season.
